Tinus head tree is an evergreen shrub or tree up to 6 meters tall, with many branches. The young branches are greenish-yellow, then light brown, and the shoots are bent down. The bark of the three-year-old plant is cracked and dark brown. The leaves are arranged opposite each other, the leaves are 3-12 cm long, 1-7 cm wide, ovate or lanceolate, usually the ends are dull, the base is round or wedge-shaped. The upper surface of the leaf axil is dark green, bare, and the lower surface is usually the same bare, light green. The stems are 2.5 cm long, light green or lilac-brown.
